Fall Friday Night Gatherings

Roughly every other Friday during the school year, we gather as a whole GCF (always open to friends!) for dinner and some combination of prayer, worship, testimony, talks, and fellowship.  Unless otherwise noted, we start at 6:30PM and meet at the Duke Episcopal Center (505 Alexander, plenty of parking and served by the central campus bus).  Dinner will be provided (a $5 donation is suggested, with an exemption for first-time visitors).

Over the course of the semester, our Friday night gatherings will largely center around themes related to our Four Commitments as a chapter of InterVarsity’s Graduate & Faculty Ministries and the purpose statement of InterVarsity.

Fall schedule:

  • September 2: First Friday Night Gathering – Our first gathering of the new school year will feature a panel discussion about “Thriving in Grad School” with upper level graduate students and alumni from across the departments and programs at Duke.
  • September 9: The commitment to service – we will focus on Christianity, refugees, and serving in Durham with a staff person from World Relief Durham, a refugee resettlement agency in the Triangle.
  • September 23
  • October 14
  • October 28
  • November 4
  • November 18
  • December 2
